Panda Chinese Restaurant - Clinton
About This Spot
Stepping into Panda Chinese Restaurant feels like entering a quietly comfortable neighborhood spot where warmth and familiarity greet you as much as the aromas wafting from the kitchen. Nestled along Plank Road in Clinton, LA, the restaurant moves at its own relaxed rhythm—no rush, just the steady hum of conversations blending seamlessly with the clink of dishes being prepared and served. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself unwinding naturally, reassured by friendly faces behind the counter and a sense of genuine care in the small details.
The atmosphere here carries a gentle, old-school charm; it’s a modest setting where the focus rests squarely on good food and thoughtful service rather than flashy décor or loud music. Whether you come in for a quick takeout or choose to linger over a meal, there’s a feeling that you’ve stepped into a spot where local rhythms and recipes meet with heart.
Food at Panda Chinese Restaurant is a quiet celebration of familiar flavors done with care, perfect for moments when you crave comforting, well-prepared dishes that don’t overpromise but always deliver. The kitchen’s steady hands work through classics that invite sharing and savoring—savory lo mein with just the right balance of ingredients, crispy yet tender chicken dishes with a subtle kick of heat, and those richly layered sauces that gently embrace each bite without overwhelming it. Portions lean generously, reflecting a warmth that extends beyond the plate, as if to say, “stay a bit longer, enjoy the meal.”
At its core, Panda feels like more than just a place to grab Chinese cuisine—it’s a small, steady anchor for locals and visitors who appreciate approachable flavors paired with smiles and swift, thoughtful service. The kind of spot where the owners know your name, or will learn it quickly, and where each meal is a quiet human moment that connects the kitchen and the table in a shared appreciation for simple, honest food.

The owners are very kind and very pleasant to speak with, I've always gotten greeted with a sincere smile. The food is just the best, I've tried a bit of everything but my favorite would be the General's Chicken -- very well made and always filling when I'm done. I highly recommend this eatery, you won't be disappointed!

This has always been my go to for general tso every other place I use panda Chinese as the top tier in comparison and it was the best I've ever had on a busy Friday night and their food is spot on no cutting corners. I love the amount of Szechuan pepper in it that's what really made it the best. That little extra heat. Not too much but made the whole meal to perfection. I never have any complaints of this restaurant and I absolutely adore the family who owns it. Keep up the great work and nothing really changes you can go everyday and get the same thing it will be the same everytime there's no overcooked noodle or rice no sauce that was different then before I don't know how the little extra Szechuan pepper was added but I'm here for it.

We have visited Panda Chinese Restaurant many times and have dined in and ordered take out. Service is great here for a 2 to 3 person operation and the food is very good. I have to say we do take out mostly and the wait time is only about 5 to 10 minutes at the most. Dining is also good with a 5 minute wait for your food. You order when you come in and food is delivered to your table. This is all the table service offered but if you need anything all you have to do is ask. My favorite on the menu is the pepper steak. It always comes with fresh pepper steak that isn't over cooked. The meat is also very tender. Other items here that we love are the egg rolls, hot and sour soup, beef lo mein and their fried rice. You cant go wrong here! Large servings and fair prices!
